The Temporary Stock & Compliance Assistants play an essential part in ensuring the accuracy, safety, and compliance of stock management processes related to airside trolleys, catering supplies, and operational procedures

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Stock & Compliance Team Leader in managing physical stock, verifying compliance, and monitoring operational procedures. This involves accurate stock counting, adherence to aviation regulatory standards, and reporting any irregularities to management.

The position requires individuals who are dependable, organised, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment that prioritises accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be required to:

Stock Control

  • Count the trolleys in the airside and storage spots.
  • Input the stock details correctly into the computer systems.
  • Check that all trolleys are sealed correctly and follow FlySafair’s rules.
  • Help with moving old stock out, bringing in new stock, and simple stock control.

Compliance Monitoring

  • Watch how flight crews and catering staff do their jobs.
  • Make sure all items are handled according to official rules.
  • Tell managers right away about any problems, differences, or rule-breaking.
  • Help with audits, checks, and inspections that focus on following rules.

Ad Hoc Support

  • Help the team leader with extra tasks related to managing stock.
  • Help make processes better and operations more effective.
  • Provide support for tasks involving different departments in the Sales & Distribution unit when needed.
  • These jobs are very important for making sure stock, food items, and how things are done meet FlySafair’s safety and rule standards.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for the Temporary Stock & Compliance Assistant role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
  • Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Advantageous)
  • 1 year of experience in stock control, inventory management, compliance monitoring, or related fields (Essential)
  • Experience in aviation, FMCG, or catering environments (Advantageous)
  • Experience using stock management systems or ERP platforms (Advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of stock management principles
  • Willingness to work overtime and standby when required
