Merchandising Services Recruitment Criteria:

Must be a South African citizen.

Completed Grade 10, 11, or 12.

Can speak English very well.

Has no history of breaking the law.

Can show where they live.

Has their own bank account information.

Trolley Services Recruitment Criteria:

South African Citizen

Grade 10 passed

Fluent in English

No criminal record

Proof of residence

Personal bank account details

Warehouse Services Recruitment Criteria:

South African Citizen

Grade 12 passed

Fluent in English

No criminal record

Proof of residence

Personal bank account details

Recruitment Process

Step 1

Application for Position on Website

  • Your application will be evaluated and you will be invited for an official interview and testing phase.

Step 2

Recruitment Day

  • You need to submit a copy of the first page of your ID book, CV, proof of residence, personal bank account details (provide bank statement or letter from bank).

Step 3

Recruitment Testing

  • You will be required to write a literacy and numeracy proficiency test in order to proceed to the next step.

Step 4

Interview

  • After successfully completing steps 1, 2, and 3, you will have an interview with the appropriate manager at the hiring location.

Step 5

Criminal Check

  • Following your interview, you will sign a form allowing GP Retail Operations to perform a criminal background check on you.

Step 6

Contracting

Processing your criminal check will take two days. Afterward, you will be asked to sign your contract at a specific place.
