Overview

Life The Glynnwood Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our Renal Ward team (1West). This role is essential in delivering high-quality nursing care to our patients, and it reports directly to Mpumi Nxumalo, the Unit Manager. Key Responsibilities

As an Enrolled Nurse in the Renal Ward, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure exceptional patient care, including but not limited to:

  • Quality Patient Care: Perform nursing duties that meet the standards of quality patient care. Ensure all nursing activities comply with SANC regulations, relevant laws, and Life Healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Health and Safety Standards: Uphold health, safety, and infection control protocols to create a secure environment for our patients.
  • Resource Management: Use hospital resources efficiently to enhance patient care and maintain high operational standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all medical equipment is well-maintained and functioning properly for optimal patient treatment.
  • Accurate Documentation: Keep precise and comprehensive records of patient care and treatment plans.
  • Patient Education: Continuously educate patients about their health conditions and the treatment process, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster effective relationships with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Nursing Qualification: Valid qualification as an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Renal Experience: Previous experience working in a Renal Ward is highly desirable.
  • SANC Registration: Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts based on the hospital’s operational needs.
  • Understanding of Healthcare: A good understanding of the private healthcare sector and its dynamics is an added advantage.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills would be beneficial for record-keeping and communication.
