EPWP General Worker: Various Departments

SALARY: R149.40 p.d (EPWP General worker daily rate)

WHAT’S NEEDED:

  • Finished Grade 10.
  • Finishing Grade 12 is a plus.
  • A current driver’s license is a plus.
  • Must be good with people and able to communicate well (speaking two languages is a must).
  • People from the Midvaal area get priority.
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • Must be physically fit, know how to do physical jobs, and be able to do them.
  • Must be capable of doing the job’s tasks.
  • Must be a hard worker and disciplined.
  • Need zero to one year of experience as a general worker for the local government.

JOB TASKS:

  • Move supplies and machines safely, using gloves and the right tools.
  • Put up road signs to warn drivers about road work happening near city roads while digging.
  • Keep the work area clean using hand tools.
  • Do general labor jobs as the boss tells you.
  • Obey all legal orders from the boss to help the team work well and reach its goals.
  • Do other jobs and tasks as needed by the boss or managers.
