Abasegudu (pty) Ltd invite unemployed youth to apply for engineering learnership.

Job Description

Our Engineering Learnership is a planned course where you learn engineering skills both in the classroom and by doing real work.

This helps you get a qualification that is accepted across the country in an engineering area.

Placement: Richards bay
Application Deadline:12 August 2025

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Education:

  • Go to classes to learn about engineering ideas and how to stay safe.
  • Get training on using simple tools, machines, and special measuring devices.
  • Learn the main ideas of movement, power, liquids, or other specific areas.

Practical Work Experience:

  • Help with fixing, putting in, and taking care of machines with guidance
  • Join in on checking machines or systems regularly and finding problems
  • Watch skilled workers or engineers while they do technical work
  • What You’ll Do in the Workshop and On-Site:
  • Do things the way you’re supposed to in the workshop or where things are made
  • Keep your work area neat and safe
  • Help put together, build, or test parts
  • Being Safe and Following Rules:
  • Learn and obey health, safety, and environmental rules
  • Wear safety gear when you need to
  • Tell your bosses about dangers and accidents

Learning and Development:

  • Complete assignments, assessments, and practical tasks as required by the training provider
  • Maintain a learnership logbook with daily activities and reflections

Trade Specific Requirements:

Apprentice Boilermaker: Must have knowledge in Boiler making & Engineering N2

-Apprentice Millwright Must have knowledge in Millwright & Engineering N2

Apprentice Electrician: Must have knowledge in Industrial electronics N2 & Electrical trade N2

Apprentice Fitter: Must have knowledge in Fitting including Machining N2 & Engineering Drawing N2

  • Applicants should be from 18 to 35 years of age.
  • Must be a South African citizen or have a legal permit to be in the country.
  • A deep interest in the fields of engineering and technical jobs is needed.
  • Need to be able to talk well with others and want to learn new things.
  • Must be healthy and able to do work in factories or other work sites.
