Often called the “best toy stores in the world,” Toys R Us SA has over 60 stores, including two in Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia, plus a brand new, fantastic online shop. The main goal is to give customers of all ages, from kids to grandparents, a wonderful selection of products and a great shopping trip, all at good prices! Are you energetic and dedicated and will make sure customers are very happy and the store does very well?

Then we are looking for a Shop Assistant and we would like you to join our team!!

Key Performance Areas

  1. Give amazing customer support so customers are very impressed.
  2. Help each customer with their specific shopping needs and always prioritize the customer.
  3. Make sure customers get quick and helpful service when they’re shopping or calling.
  4. Follow all the basic rules for good customer service.
  5. Figure out what customers need and give advice about products, prices, and guarantees.
  6. Show customers how products work, explain them clearly, and give helpful advice.
  7. Sell products and, most importantly, offer extra related items or services.
  8. Check that all products have the correct price and are displayed well.
  9. Make sure promotions happen on time and are planned ahead.
  10. Follow all rules about how things should be arranged and kept clean.
  11. Prepare, start, and keep up all advertised sales promotions on time.
  12. Tell the Store Manager which products are selling quickly or slowly.
  13. Help with counting the stock.
  14. Reduce the amount of stock that gets lost.
  15. Keep costs down in your work area.
  16. Sell as much as possible in every area.
  17. Keep the company’s belongings safe in your work area.

Entry Requirement:

  1. Matric Certificate
  2. 6 (six) months retail experience
  3. Must have own or reliable transport to be able to work shifts

General:

  1. Do other important tasks as asked by bosses.
  2. Complete all necessary job and skills training.
  3. Keep all information private and secure.
  4. Participate in regular performance reviews and development planning.
  5. Make sure you know and follow the latest rules.
  6. Work well with others when new tools and ways of doing things are introduced.
