Dis-Chem Pharmacies – Cleaner Job Opportunity

Dis-Chem Pharmacies require an experienced Cleaner for their Carlswald store. You will be responsible to maintain a clean and neat store, by Dis-Chem’s hygienic standards. The areas will include the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office and canteen

Remuneration and benefits:

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
• Sound command of the English language
• Basic customer service
• Additional language that is area specific
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Bilingual
• Previous retail store cleaning experience

Job Specification:

• Keep the whole store, including the sales floor and shared spaces, very clean and hygienic every day before opening.
• Create cleaning plans to keep all parts of the store consistently clean.
• Make sure the break room and bathrooms are always clean and have enough supplies.
• Be ready to clean up messes whenever needed during store hours.
• Use the right cleaning supplies and tools for each cleaning task.
• Put up a wet floor sign that can be seen from both sides when cleaning the floor.
• Be helpful, nice, and able to help customers.
• Do your job following all safety rules.

• Prior retail store cleaning experience

Special conditions of employment:

• Ready and available to work when shops are open.
• Physically strong enough to walk, stand, climb, kneel, bend, and lift and move things.
• Has dependable transportation or lives nearby the store.
• Is a citizen of South Africa.
• Has a clean credit history and no criminal record.
