Clicks Group – Shop Assistant / Cashier

To deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operational activities and merchandising in store that leads to a positive customer experience.

Job Objectives:

  • Do all tasks at the checkout quickly and well.
  • Scan items carefully and take payments correctly, including using loyalty points.
  • Keep cash safe at all times.
  • Actively promote the store’s loyalty program and sign up new members to meet goals.
  • Tell customers about deals to boost sales and make them happy.
  • Give excellent customer service by representing the brand well, being available, and being friendly and helpful.
  • Keep the checkout area tidy and stocked following store rules.
  • Help the company be the top choice for health and beauty by following its values.
  • Stay up-to-date on products, sales, and events to give customers the right information.

Knowledge:

  • Basic maths calculations
  • Retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles
  • Understanding of stock management procedures
  • Knowledge of customer service excellence
