EWSETA Learnership – 12 Months program

This learnership offers more than just practical experience; it provides a route into a sector that consistently requires skilled workers, given South Africa’s ongoing need for clean water, sanitation, and trained operators.

Additionally, participants will receive a R3,000 monthly allowance over the 9 to 12-month program, which is designed for young people, particularly those from Impendle.

Learnership Descriptions:

To qualify, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

1) Citizenship

  • South African citizen with a valid ID

2) Age Requirement

  • Youth between 18 and 34 years old

3) Education Requirement

  • From Grade 10 (minimum)

4) Skills/Competency

You need to possess fundamental abilities in:

  • Mathematical Literacy
  • communication
  • writing skills
  • interpersonal skills

5) Employment Status

You must be:

  • presently without work
  • not participating in other educational or training courses

6) Work Experience

  • No previous experience required

7) Disability Inclusion

  • People living with disabilities are encouraged to apply

If selected, you will be expected to:

  • Go to all classes from the approved trainer.
  • Do your work tasks and keep a record.
  • Pass all your tests.

A learnership is not “free money.” You must show commitment and discipline, because you’ll be assessed throughout.

All documents must be clear and certified in 2026.

  • Certified copy of ID
  • Certified copy of highest qualification OR statement of results
  • Proof of residence
