Introduction
We are excited to announce an opening for an Enrolled Nurse in the Orthopaedic department at Life Cosmos Hospital, located in Mpumalanga. In this role, you will report directly to the Unit Manager, Charmaine Strydom. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing team and supporting doctors through effective communication, collaboration, and diligent record-keeping within the unit. Key Responsibilities

  1. Basic Nursing Duties:
  • Carry out fundamental nursing tasks as assigned by your supervisors to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
  • Adhere strictly to the Scope of Practice, delivering high-quality nursing care that meets the needs of each patient.
  1. Patient Care and Satisfaction:
  • Maintain strong and professional relationships with patients, doctors, and all members of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Strive to enhance customer satisfaction by providing compassionate care and addressing any patient concerns promptly.
  1. Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Follow all health, safety, and infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Stay updated on best practices in health and safety to ensure compliance at all times.
  1. Supervision and Guidance:
  • Oversee and support junior staff members, offering guidance and mentorship as needed to foster their professional growth.
  • Create an environment where team members feel valued and motivated to deliver their best work.

Qualifications Required:

  • Must be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant nursing experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage your duties efficiently.
  • Ability to handle stress and demonstrate resilience in challenging situations.
  • A strong focus on customer service and patient care.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the department.
