We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our dedicated team at our Occupational Health Clinic in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities:

As an Occupational Health Nurse, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Onsite Clinical Services: Working in our clinic to provide comprehensive occupational and primary healthcare services. You will be the go-to healthcare professional for patients, addressing their needs and ensuring they receive the highest quality care.
  • Client Management: Overseeing client contracts directly on-site to ensure all health and safety requirements are met, and services are delivered effectively.
  • Health Program Development: Creating and implementing an occupational health program tailored to the specific needs of the workplace. This includes conducting assessments, developing health initiatives, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Target Achievement: Striving to meet and surpass targets established in the occupational health and quality improvement program. Your contributions will directly impact the overall health and safety environment of the workplace.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that the site meets all quality audit requirements and adheres to professional and quality standards set by Life Healthcare and our clients.
  • Project Management: Initiating and managing various health-related projects on-site, focusing on enhancing workplace safety and health initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Working collaboratively within a team environment to provide exceptional healthcare services and support your colleagues in achieving common goals.
  • Timely Administration: Handling all administrative tasks promptly and efficiently, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Current Registration: Must be a registered nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Occupational Health Qualification: A relevant qualification in Occupational Health is required to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for this position.
  • Additional Certifications: Qualifications in audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and dispensing are highly desirable, as these skills will enhance the services you provide.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency is essential, along with experience in administration, employee relations, and effective communication.
  • Results-Driven: We are looking for candidates who are focused on achieving results, possess initiative, and are dedicated to delivering quality healthcare services while finding ways to reduce costs.
  • Emergency Care Skills: Competency in emergency first aid is critical for addressing medical emergencies effectively.
  • Transportation: Having your own transport is necessary to fulfill the requirements of the job and to travel to different locations as needed.
