OverView:

SA Power Services in Randburg is looking for someone to train as an Electrician. One person will be chosen to learn the electrical trade.

The chosen person will be watched while they work and will need to do the following tasks.

Duties:
-Assist with electrical/electronic and mechanical repairs.
-Assist with electrical installations.

-Read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications.
Check Electrical Devices and components to see if they work, and to measure their electricity flow, power, and opposition to flow.

• Put in, fix, or swap out different kinds of motors, power supplies, and switches.

• Put in, fix, or change electrical wires, outlets, boxes for switches, pipes for wires, power lines, lights, and other electrical parts.
• Keep electrical systems in good working order and check them regularly, including the equipment that sends out power.
• Set up electrical paths, along with boards, pipes, safety tools, and switches.

–Correct Connections and Wiring on Equipment controls wherever incorrect applications may cause harm and dangerous conditions.

-Complies with standards and procedures of industry, Safety Manual, and abide by safety rules.

Minimum requirements:

• A high school diploma with good grades in Math, Physics, and Technical Drawing is required.
• Technical N2 or N3 certificate is acceptable if you also have a Grade 12 level of language skills and took Math, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory, and Engineering Science.
