ARTISAN ASSISTANT (MECHANICAL)

REMUNARATION :
R183 279 Annualy

PLACEMENTS : Head Office, Cape Town, (Metro West Hub, Zwaanswyk, Retreat)

CONDITIONS MINIMAL NEEDS: At least a Grade 10 (NQF 3) education.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN:
-Fixing and maintaining mechanical part. Essential conditions of the job Capability to operate and use needed tools and outfit skilfully and safely. Capability to perform heavy physical labour.

-A valid( Code B/ EB) motorist’s licence.Capabilities (knowledge/ skills) Be knowledgeable with the conditions of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act.

VACANCY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Must Be available for standby. Carry out minor maintenance and repairs of mechanical fixtures and components. Do small repairs and exigency breakdowns(even after hours).
-Help with the control and order materials and parts.Clean areas where work has been carried out. Make sure that all tools and materials are ready before starting work. Helping the artisan (skilled tradesmen) in the execution of their respective duties.

BRICKLAYING TRADESMAN AID

DEPARTMENT: Engineering and Technical Support Services

PAY : R155 148 per year

LOCATION: Head Office, Cape Town (Metro West Hub, Zwaanswyk, Retreat)

NEEDS DEMANDED : At least a Grade 10 (NQF 3) education).

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have relevant experience in the field.

ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS OF THE JOB:
-Willing to travel throughout the Western Cape Province.
-Should be in good physical condition to perform physical work. Must know how to use tools and work well with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out minor conservation tasks.
  • Help with the installation of factory, outfit and urgent breakdowns (even outside of regular hours).
  • Help put in new equipment and make changes.
  • Clean up work areas.
  • Insure that tools and material are ready when Needed.
  • Willing to Help the Artisans in the prosecution of their tasks.
