ABOUT JUMPSTART YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME:
JumpStart offers training to young people throughout South Africa. This training happens in big cities like Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Pretoria. It helps young people find jobs in retail. The Manufacturing and Production Programs are for graduates and lead to jobs in the supply chain. Programs for those with a high school diploma lead to retail jobs, such as in sales, warehousing, and general retail. Training depends on the area and the needs of industry partners.
How to use Mr Price’s JumpStart to find work. JumpStart helps young, jobless people get jobs in stores and factories.They work with great companies like Mr Price and SPAR.
For those who finished school, programmes like Retail Frontline, Retail Sales, Warehousing Basics, Retail Essentials and Professional Retail help them get into retail. Training depends on what jobs are needed in different places and may start and stop.
These retail skills programs help overcome challenges.
Young people have the highest jobless rate in South Africa: Over 62% of those aged 15-24 are unemployed.

The JumpStart Retail Frontline Programme (RFP) helps young people with a matric certificate find entry-level jobs in stores.
This short course teaches skills through online lessons, in-person sessions with interviews, and a week of real work at a store.
WHAT YOU GET:

The programme include online life skills, 2 days of in-person Learning and interviews plus 1 week of practical experience in a real store.
Applicants need at least 200MB of data and a computer or smartphone to apply, take an online test, and complete the online course.
