DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC SAFETY
SECTION: SECURITY SERVICES
TRAFFIC WARDENS PL10 X5 (REF: RWCLM/PS/05/25)
STARTING SALARY: R232 692.24 P.A (Not Including Extra Benefits)
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Grade 12 and Understanding of traffic laws
- Good Physically Conditions
- Clean criminal history
- No prior job experience needed
MAIN DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES
- Watches traffic movement and road conditions
- Patrols areas, monitors traffic, and identifies illegally parked cars
- Enforces traffic laws
- Reports any legal violations that can’t be immediately addressed
- Conducts traffic safety programs and educational campaigns
- Recommends solutions to traffic issues
- Works to stop traffic rule violations
- Inspects parking meters, signs, and road markings for needed repairs
SUPERINTENDENT SECURITY & VIP SERVICES L5 (REF: RWCLM/PS/03/25]
BASIC SALARY: R476. 795. 88 Per Year (not including extra benefits)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A B Policing or original NOF 7 qualification
- Good understanding of VIP and Security Services
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience including administrative experience
VACANCY DUTIES:
- Performs administrative duties within the license’s services sub-section
- Do security related duties
- Protect VIP (Very Important Personage) including providing security services
- Handle paperwork for the licensing area
- Plan and carry specific systems programmes to educate the community conditions
- Make sure equipment is used and kept in good shape.
- Handle employee matters and other office tasks.
- Do other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
SECTION: LAW ENFORCEMENT AND TRAFFIC ADMIN
TRAFFIC PROSECUTOR PL7 [REF: RWCLM/PS/04/25]
BASIC PAY: R384 943.44 P.A (Not Including Extra Benefits)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or similar (NQF level 7)
- Diploma in Traffic Management
- A Project Management Diploma or Certificate (Added Advantage)
- Management Diploma/Certificate
- No Criminal Record
- Driver’s License (Code B/EB).
DUTIES:
- Make decisions about traffic tickets and appeals.
- Be able to know how courts work on traffic fines and representations
- Must do other tasks given by senior officials.
- Should be able to make court lists and orders.
- Be able Record court results and orders after every court appearance
- Will handle all court administration responsibilities related to traffic fines
- Will talk to important groups like Court, SAPS, NPA and Justice Department
- Be able to write reports each week and monthly reports.
- Represent the municipality in court meetings
